Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist at a suburban hospital campus near Tucson, AZ. This role requires a dedicated clinical professional to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of medications across a diverse patient population in an acute care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense pharmaceuticals in compliance with state, federal, and DEA regulations, as well as hospital policies.
• Collaborate closely with physicians to optimize drug therapy, including dosing adjustments.
• Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians on medication usage and safety.
• Lead medication safety initiatives and maintain thorough patient profiles.
• Monitor and report adverse drug reactions.
• Prepare IV admixtures and nutritional supplements.
• Maintain strict accountability for narcotics.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years hospital experience in a high-acuity acute care environment.
• Specialized knowledge and hands-on experience with NICU patients and complex cardiac cases involving Impella and ECMO.
• Comprehensive understanding of pharmacy protocols compliant with The Joint Commission standards.

Schedule and Location:

• Day shifts, Monday through Friday.
• Position is located in Oracle, AZ, with the facility being a 20-bed campus in a suburban setting near Tucson.

• Immediate start date.
• Contract duration of 13 weeks, with potential for a temp-to-hire arrangement.
